Shipping Addresses Requiring Firearms Credentials on File
California. Connecticut. Illinois. Massachusetts. New Jersey. Washington D.C.
Please note: you will not be able to place an order automatically if your shipping address is located in restricted Cities/Counties in California, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey or New York. Please see instructions below pertaining to your State.
CALIFORNIA.
As of August 7, 2025, the fight over California’s ammunition background check laws just got longer. We are still required to ship ammunition to the care of an FFL unless you are exempt.
January 1, 2018, CA PC 30312 went into effect. If you are exempt, follow the appropriate link to get registered with us: ACTIVE Law Enforcement, FFL holder, Dealer or Importer/Exporter.
If you are an individual residing in Los Angeles, Oakland, Sacramento, San Francisco and/or Avalon, please check your local laws before registering. In general, we are required to ship to the c/o a local gun shop/FFL for all shipments unless you are active duty law enforcement or hold an FFL03. Shipping restrictions vary by local city municipal codes. All individuals residing in CA must pre-register with us and receive approval before you will be able to checkout. Do not submit your CA FSC only - please follow these steps:
- Contact your local gun store to make arrangements with them to receive your shipment; not all FFLs allow transfers.
- Register with us here. Be sure to list your designated FFL on your registration if you are not an FFL03/COE holder yourself.
- Have your designated FFL/gun store email us a copy of their FFL certificate to sales@bonefrogammunition.com; Receipt of your preferred gun store's valid FFL serves as their approval and acknowledgment to receive your shipment/s. Be sure to have them reference your name in the email to us.
Your account will be approved and your order will be processed once we receive all of this information. Your orders will be shipped to the c/o your local gun store as long as the provided documentation remains valid. Upon expiration of the FFL on file, you must provide us with updated information. All shipments must be shipped to the designated FFL on file or the order may be canceled.

CONNECTICUT.
Requirements - CT LTC and Government issued ID/Driver's License. Register with us first here or provide these credentials with a Restricted State Membership submission. All ammunition shipments must be sent to the address listed on your identification. Orders addressed to a different shipping address will be canceled.
ILLINOIS.
Requirements - FOID and Government issued ID/Driver's License. Register with us first here or provide these credentials with a Restricted State Membership submission. All ammunition shipments must be sent to the address listed on your identification. Orders addressed to a different shipping address will be canceled.
MASSACHUSETTS.
Requirements - LTC/FID and Government issued ID/Driver's License. Register with us first here or provide these credentials with a Restricted State Membership submission. All ammunition shipments must be sent to the address listed on your identification. Orders addressed to a different shipping address will be canceled.
NEW JERSEY.
FID and Government issued ID/Driver's License. Register with us first here or provide these credentials with a Restricted State Membership submission. All ammunition shipments must be sent to the address listed on your identification. Orders placed with a different shipping address will be canceled.
NEW YORK.
The New York SAFE Act requires that ammunition sales be conducted in person or shipped to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder, registered seller, or registered keeper of ammunition. All orders sent to New York must be shipped to the care of a designated FFL or registered Keeper of Ammunition.
All New York customers must register with us first. Prior to registering with us, please follow these steps:
- Contact your local gun store to make arrangements with them to receive your shipment. If you are purchasing ammunition on behalf of your local law enforcement agency, please upload a letter on letterhead.
- Register with us here or you may purchase a Restricted State Membership.
- Have your designated FFL/gun store email us a copy of their FFL certificate to sales@bonefrogammunition.com; Receipt of your preferred gun store's valid FFL serves as their approval and acknowledgment to receive your shipment/s. Be sure to have them reference your name in the email to us.
Your account will be approved and you will be able to shop with us once we receive all of this information. Your orders will be shipped to the c/o your local gun store or local law enforcement agency (if you are purchasing on behalf of your local PD).
Once approved, your account will remain active as long as the provided documentation remains valid. Upon expiration of the FFL on file, you must provide us with updated information. All shipments must be shipped to the designated FFL on file or the order may be canceled.
WASHINGTON D.C.
We will ship ammunition to the c/o a gun store/FFL in these States. Our registration process is:
- Contact your local gun store to make arrangements with them to receive your shipment.
- Register with us here.
- Either upload your local gun shop's FFL certificate with your registration or have them email us a copy of their FFL to sales@bonefrogammunition.com.
**Be sure to have them reference your name if they email to us. - Your account will be approved and your order will be processed once we receive all of this information. Your orders will be shipped to the c/o your local gun store.
Bone Frog Ammo LLC/Bone Frog Ammunition will not ship without these credentials on file. We may request to re-verify credentials from time to time.
